Once the centre of the Ottoman empire, Turkey has both shaped and been shaped by cultures on either side of the Bosphorus. Today, its marriage of Western and Eastern traditions is an irresistible draw. This tour combines Turkey’s natural wonders and man-made marvels, including Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, the remarkable classical sites of Troy, Pergamon and Ephesus, and the magical, cave-filled landscapes of Cappadocia.
