Day 1 — Fly to Buenos Aires

Evening flight from London (regional connections available) to Buenos Aires with British Airways.

Day 2 — Buenos Aires

Morning arrival. Transfer to the Alvear Art Hotel for 3 nights and enjoy a welcome dinner this evening.

Day 3 — Buenos Aires

Half-day tour of Buenos Aires, including the Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Peron is buried, and La Boca district, birthplace of the tango.

Day 4 — Buenos Aires

At leisure or optional full-day trip to an estancia ranch in the Pampas countryside.

Day 4.1 — Transfer: Buenos Aires to Iguazú / Iguaçu

Day 5 — Fly to Iguazú

Fly to the Iguazú Falls and stay for 2 nights at the Gran Meliá Iguazú, with a privileged location inside the national park (upgrade to a falls-view room from £165).

Day 6 — Iguazú / Iguaçu

Tour the Brazilian side of these magnificent cataracts with time at leisure to explore the Argentinian side, including the Devil’s Throat, at your own pace. Experience the falls at dawn or sunset, when the park is closed to other visitors.

Day 6.1 — Transfer: Iguazú / Iguaçu to Rio de Janeiro

Day 7 — Fly to Rio de Janeiro

Fly to Rio and transfer to the Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana Hotel (side Copacabana sea-view room) for 3 nights. Upgrade to an oceanfront room from £25.

Day 8 — Rio de Janeiro

In the morning, visit Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car. Afternoon visit to Corcovado Mountain and the statue of Christ the Redeemer, followed by a farewell drink at the end of your tour.

Day at leisure. Optional excursions include the Tijuca rainforest, a visit to the botanical gardens or behind-the-scenes Carnival experience.

Day 10 — Fly to London

At leisure (use of a day room at your hotel from £95 per person). Evening transfer to the airport for your flight to London with British Airways.

Alvear Art Hotel

The Alvear Art is located in Retiro, in the heart of Buenos Aires, just a short walk from the elegant Avenida Santa Fe and the Florida shopping street. The hotel features 139 elegant rooms and suites, a sleek yet classic contemporary design and numerous pieces of art. The spacious and high ceilinged marbled lobby is bathed in natural light and leads through to the restaurant and bar, while the top floors features a spa, indoor swimming pool, and a gym and relaxation room with superb panoramic views of the city.

Gran Melia Iguazú

The Gran Meliá Iguazú is the only hotel located inside the Iguazú National Park on the Argentinian side of the falls and within walking distance of the cataracts. Guestrooms have a fresh, contemporary decor and offer a private balcony overlooking the tropical surroundings or the majestic waterfalls. An impressive infinity pool and a restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows also offer superb vistas of the crashing waters. There is also a lounge bar with an outdoor terrace.

Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana

The Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana Hotel overlooks the world famous Copacabana beach, with views over Sugar Loaf and Corcovado. It features an elegant spa and a rooftop pool and bar, both with splendid ocean views. There is a second swimming pool on the 4th floor, where guests can also find the hotel restaurant. Rooms are bright and styled with contemporary decor and warm, natural tones, and all feature air conditioning, a TV and a minibar. Most rooms offer amazing partial or full ocean views.
